kerala day 1

We went on this boat trip over the weekend for a little break away from the city life. We lived in this boat house that took us through the Kerala backwaters and we had our own chef on the boat which cooked AWESOMAZING food for us!
I gotta say i kinda enjoyed it. really good place to go if you just wanna relax and bond!

on the way to the boat house we stopped by this place called fort kochi.. the shops there are something like jonker street but a cannot-make-it yet version of it. LOL

some super old church

and this where they all fish!

those thingys behind are the nets that they use to catch fishes.

fresh off the river!

we passed by this antique shop and i saw this study table which i could turn into a dressing table! it's antique and beautiful!! RM200! i wanted it! but i didn't get it.

we finally got to our boat! it took us 2 hours from the airport!

we were greeted with fruits and coconuts!

chilled while we waited for lunch!

the food was damn awesome!!! ate ate and ate till we couldn't move!

so you chill and relax and twit till it's dinner time!
that's all you do! chill and relax till your next meal!

see weird looking birds along the way!

oh and beautiful scenery while you twit away!

Crazier

I'm missing Andrew....... A LOT!! it's driving me up the wall!!!

back in August, after dinner at Shang-ri La.

These 4 1/2 months haven't been easy. it's involved a lot of me travelling all over. I'm constantly in and out and out of the not so many months we've been together i've only ever been there for 2 months. Other times i'm just coping with being so far away from him and he's juggling our relationship, his studies and all his other activites.

I have to admit that i've been annoyed one too many times, especially since i've been here. like why can't he make time for me, a call doesn't need to be long, a skype date doesn't need to go for hours, a text doesnt take you 30 mins to type out and the list goes on.

Despite all of that, we still find ways and time for each other. Be it a simple conversation over MSN or an "i love you" displayed on the screen of our Blackberrys, one way or another we make it work simply because we want it to. where there's a will, there's a way right?

In the past 4 1/2 months, he's stood by me through tears and laughter, sickness and health. (sounds like we're gonna get married. wtf) my crankiness, my moodiness. Through life changing decision and changes, never once has he left my side or failed to make me smile even if the very reason i wasn't smiling in the first place was because of him.

When you've found someone that flies over to your house because you've been in tears, makes sure your cravings are satisfied, takes you all over to run your errands and still loves, cares and sticks by you when you're busy travelling and only being able to spend alternate months together, you know he's a keeper. My keeper.

so it's been like 10 days since my last "i'm sick" post! i was on the road to recovery till i fell sick AGAIN!! i know right!! and this time it's worst than before! triple ugh!! i've got like fever and body aches and chills in the middle of the night, teary eyes which leads to actual crying cos i'm extremely weak!!

pity post much.. LOL! i think so too!

as you know, i hate going to the doctors! i hate the smell of hospitals and clinics! makes me feel worst than i already do. i would normally diagnose myself and cure myself! so much easier! saves time and money too! but anywayz... Mummy and Andrew made me go to the doctors so the hospital it was yesterday! and he diagnosed me with throat infection and fever! -.- you see what i mean! even i could have told you that!

on a brighter side.. mummy made cake! my cake craving has been satisfied! yumzzz..

on the not so bright side.... there's sales all over KL and Soyan keeps me updated bout it BUT i can't go!!! cos i'm in the land of anehnehs! RAWRRRRRRR!

Honey

Soyan and I were having this conversation, as we always do..

I dont know how we got to it but we did, we started talking bout hair and facial stuff and did you know how awesome HONEY is?!?! well I shall tell you!

Honey contains vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, and therefore is a wonderful beauty aid that nourishes the skin and the hair.

HAIR!

honey to keep your scalp moisturized and shiny - mixing 3 teaspoons of honey with pint of water.

honey for hair growth treatment - 3-6 tbsp. of honey, 1-2 tbsp jojoba oil or olive oil and a few drop of favored essential oil.

and here are a few essential oils that you can use depending on your hair type and what you want.

  • Dry or coarse hair: sandalwood, lavender, palmorarosa, or geranium.
  • Chemically damaged hair: sandalwood, lavender, frankincense, or geranium.
  • Blonde hair: lemon, geranium or chamomile.
  • Gray hair: sage, rose, lavender or geranium.
  • Hair loss: rosemary, juniper or lavender.
  • Dandruff: rosemary, eucalyptus, tea tree or cedar wood.
AND!! it lightens your hair too! so there will be no need to colour your hair anymore! natuaral hair colourant and its cheap too!! everyone can afford it..

FACE!

Apply honey on your face and neck for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water. Your skin will glow and become soft and smooth.

Mix egg white with honey and apply on the face for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water. or if you mix it with flour it can be a firming mask!

Make a paste of one teaspoon of walnut powder, honey and lemon juice. Scrub your face with this paste and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water

Skin Moisturizer: Just mix 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 teaspoons of whole milk, smooth over the face and throat, and let it do its job for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, and finish splashing with cold water.

Cure for Chapped Lips and Acne: Honey works well on chapped lips and for acne because it has antibacterial properties. I quote Soyan "before bed apply some honey on your lips, leave it overnight, clean it off and tadaa! beautiful smooth and kissable lips!" or... you could just lick it off like i did! you could even use it as a lipgloss! glossy and sweet!

so there you go! i shall take some pics tomorrow if i put the above into action! lol
